Tonight I attended the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner put on by the Cobb County Democratic Committee. It was an interesting evening, full of politics and speeches. The speech by Atlanta Mayor,
Kasim Reed, was very stirring, talking about the passion that is needed to win elections. I got a chance to talk to
Pat Dooley who is running for Georgia House of Representatives, District 38. She has been a real friend to Education this last legislative session and she is a wonderful woman. I really hope to see her re-elected this year. The Democrats are coming on strong this year, making for an interesting election.
