Teachers asked to 'unfriend' students on Facebook
A school district in Florida is advising teachers not to "friend" students on social networking sites, claiming that teacher-student communication through this medium is "inappropriate."

One of my teacher friends has a private FB for her friends and then one just for her students. I think it could be a nice way to interact with students and perhaps this is wishful thinking, but maybe having their teacher among their friends would curb some of the nonsense kids get into online.
